The KWL Template is a teaching tool that helps to organize thoughts and ideas before, after, and during a lesson. This template is useful for both group and independent learning, and is ideal for visual, young, and ESL students.
KWL represents Know, What, and Learn, and the template is divided into three sections where students can brainstorm everything that they know about a topic, what they still want to know, and things that they have learned after they conducted further research into the topic.
