The Reading and Analyzing Non-Fiction Template walks students through the process of understanding what it is that they have read and how to draw conclusions from it.
The template is divided into five sections. The first is Things I Know I Know where students record everything that they think they know about the topic. They then move their sticky notes into the Confirmed or Misconceptions section as they learn more about the topic through their reading. The last two sections are for keeping track of New Information and Wonderings about new questions that arise..
