Microsoft Teams has been a part of Stormboard's professional business tool integration suite for several years, but this new update takes distributed collaboration and video meetings to an entirely new level.
What’s new?
With this update, users can now add Storms directly to any scheduled calendar meeting — transforming video calls into real-time collaboration sessions.
How does it work?
By simply adding a Storm to any scheduled meeting invite, you are opening the door for active collaboration and relying much less on screen sharing and long-winded presentations.
To add a Storm to a calendar meeting in Teams:
Confirm that the meeting is a scheduled calendar meeting.
Click ‘+ Apps’ at the top of the meeting window.
Search for Stormboard.
Sign in to Stormboard and add a new or existing Storm.
Choose the access level for users when they join this Storm in Microsoft Teams (Viewer or Contributor).
Enjoy your real-time collaboration!
Your Storm will appear as a tab in the top of your meeting, which will open your workspace directly in the meeting window — where every participant can jump in, whether they have a Stormboard account or not.
Just like in Stormboard, your ideas and data are safe within the Teams app. Only meeting participants inside the meeting itself will have access, and the meeting facilitator can easily restrict to view-only access with the click of a button.
This new update can stand alone or work in sync with the rest of your Microsoft tools already integrated with Stormboard.
