With the Stormboard two-way Azure DevOps integration for Enterprise Teams, you can connect to your DevOps instance, query projects for work items, and update work item data without leaving Stormboard.

Using a single tool for your planning session will refine your Agile processes without losing touch with your distributed team. Stormboard has built-in templates for all your Agile processes including Retrospectives, Story Mapping, Sprint Planning, Issue Sizing, Risks / ROAM Board, Program / Dependencies Board, PI Objectives. 

About the Azure DevOps integration

The Stormboard for Azure DevOps integration enables Stormboard to connect to your Azure DevOps instance,  allowing you to query your backlog from inside Stormboard, turn Azure DevOps work items into live-synced sticky notes, instantly calculate sprint capacity, and turn sticky notes back into Azure DevOps work items.  

What work item data can be created? 

Work items can be created from Stormboard using the user’s authentication. New work items created in Azure DevOps from a sticky note in Stormboard contain the following fields: 

  • Work item title 

  • Work item type – options pulled from Azure DevOps by the System Account for that project. 

  • Work item summary 

  • Work item priority – options pulled from Azure DevOps by the System Account for that project. 

  • Custom required fields – pulled from Azure DevOps by the System Account for that project and issue type.
